Shinta Mani Siem Reap Reopens

Shinta Mani Siem Reap has re-opened following a complete rebuild and transformation by architect Bill Bensley of Bensley Design Studios.

 The newly invigorated boutique property showcases 39 contemporary guestrooms and public spaces inspired by the ancient Khmer temples of Angkor Wat, a scenic fifteen minute tuk-tuk ride from the hotel.

Apart from its close proximity to the temple complex, Shinta Mani enjoys a central Siem Reap location within walking distance of the Old Market, lively cafes, bars and boutiques, and yet is also only footsteps from the tranquility of the nearby riverfront.

Shinta Mani Siem Reap is owned by Mr. Sokoun Chanpreda, a Cambodia born businessman who returned from overseas to invest in a better future for his country. Guided by his philosophy of Open Doors, Open Hearts, Shinta Mani continues its strong commitment to responsible tourism and community outreach with the Development Center - a purpose built facility within the hotel’s leafy grounds that provides free hospitality training to less fortunate members of the Siem Reap community.

The Development Center operates under The Shinta Mani Foundation, a locally registered not for profit organisation also founded by its Chairman, Mr. Sokoun. Directly funded by guest stays and private donations, The Shinta Mani Foundation further supports the wider community through small business startup and healthcare programs aimed at creating a lasting and positive impact.

Volunteer Tourism

The Shinta Mani Foundation welcomes short-term and long-term volunteers who would like to contribute their time and skills. Even short-term volunteers can assist students of The Development Center to become more confident in their interaction with foreigners.

 Volunteers teach short lessons, play educational games and have conversations with students outside of classroom hours when students relax in their Bill Bensley Library and Computer Lab.

Experiential accommodation packages in conjunction with the Foundation reflect Shinta Mani’s commitment to actively encouraging guest participation.
