Phnom Penh Proud of Its Development and Security

According to 2011 aggregated report and 2012 implementation plans of the Capital Hall released in a meeting on 13th, Feb. 2012, presided over by H.E Governor KEP Chuk Tema and H.E MAP Sarin, Councilors President, it illustrated about efforts to overcome all difficulties and to carry laid down actions, especially the Village-Sangkat Safety Policy including the improvement of social security, the cracking down of political movements and terrorism has been strictly forbidden. 

Armed robberies, pedophile, gambling and gangsters were also reduced. This has been a good indicator in terms of credibility for the public, investors, tourists and an opportunity to successfully implement Decentralization and De-concentration Policy, Rectangular Strategy in the 2nd Mandate, especially physically infrastructures such as roads, bridges, gardens, skyscrapers and satellite cities which mark the Capital an attractive and best place to visit. These contribute to socio-economic development, poverty reduction and enhancement of social welfare.

The report also stated about security strengthening during major national and international events to be hosted in Phnom Penh which bring up the Capital reputation at national and international level and attract more visitors and investors to invest in the country. 

Addressing in that occasion, H.E Governor has appreciated leaders of institutions, armed forces and civil servants for many development achievements over the past years. H.E continued that Phnom Penh Capital Hall is proud because of effective cooperation to crack down and prevent crimes from happening so that people could do business peacefully.

Typically for 2012, H.E Governor highlighted about some urgent tasks , focusing on security protection in coming ASEAN Submit and other significant meetings to be hosted by our country, the preparation of commune election in the 3rd mandate, universal parliamentary election for the 5th legislature to be held incoming 2013 and the continuance to effectively implement Village-Sangkat Safety Policy. Lastly, H.E Governor and H.E Councilors President awarded decorations and appreciation letters to 181 officials.
